I'm growing as a print designer because now I KNOW when something I've done looks bad, and just have to figure out WHY.
On Saturdays, I make my coffee and then wander around the garden with my shears. I deadhead the roses, clear out old branches, and cut a couple blooms that are just opening up. These are my Eden Climbers, and last a solid week after being picked!
Anyway, the extremely young person who just failed to sell me my first new phone in eight years called me both bro and big dog in the process of realizing he didn't actually have the phone in stock, so I'm off to become a tree
The bus drivers here wave at each other as they pass one another and it’s very cute.

Spent yesterday removing a Choisya and replacing it with a more native Manzanita cultivar. Changes like this always scare me because it makes things look temporarily bare. Making changes like this has to be thought through. I liked the Choisya because it was evergreen and bloomed. But

I just went and watched the 3 C’s video and it’s so good! I feel like this framework is the element I’ve been missing but not able to figure out.

While her "three Cs" framework isn't how I think about clothes, I can see it being useful. Many ways up the mountain. IG itscalbal
The cool thing about weightlifting is that when I garden I can see how much easier and lighter tasks get. Every week, month, year I have repeatable chores I have to do and the stuff I have to move around keeps getting lighter. Such a cool feeling.

I'm working on a zine project and when I started I thought to myself, this is going to be so short, no problem. I'm now 35 pages in and only about half done. I've made a huge mistake but also have come too far to quit.
