After two days on strike, nearly 1,000 faculty at NYU won huge concessions from the university. Everyone in the CFU-UAW union will now get a raise of at least $14,000. The deal also includes 3.5% raises each year of the contract, better job security, and more.

As ICE apprehends more children every day, it raises a simple question that’s also one of grave moral concern: What does detention do to a child’s health? "I see a regression of developmental milestones. They don’t want to eat. They have problems sleeping. They wake up screaming,” one doctor said.

What ICE Detention Does to a Child

Stunted growth. Nightmares. Bed-wetting. These are just a few of the symptoms of children held in immigration custody.

People shouldn't feel bad about previously admiring someone when they didn't know about the terrible harms that person committed, but we should challenge ourselves to consider how pedestalizing and prioritizing the legacies of charismatic leaders can create harmful dynamics. That can be addressed.

The news about Cesar Chavez is devastating but also shows us the pitfalls of single issue organizing. He was a powerful labor organizer but as we have now learned he was also a sexual abuser, Zionist, anti-communist, and virulently anti-immigrant.

I’m sorry but not censoring a white man repeatedly shouting the n-word at two Black actors presenting an award because he has Tourette’s but censoring someone accepting an award saying “Free Palestine” is peak white liberal brainrot.

The uber leftist critiques of Bad Bunny noting that it’s not liberation are so annoying. Like, no one said all that, bro. People saying that there were political elements that are important to acknowledge is not the same as saying Bad Bunny will free us. Don’t be foolish.

After executing Alex Pretti on Saturday, ICE has shifted to primarily targeting bus stops and elementary schools in my community this week. I cannot overstate how much of the ICE activity in my community is just targeting places where little kids are.

Video from this morning shows ICE agents deploying tear gas outside a Minneapolis preschool as parents shout, “This is a preschool! There’s kids here!”

We all just saw about six different angles of ICE murdering a guy who himself was filming them, but sure, you think body cameras will make all the difference. How stupid do they think we are?

Republicans have blocked every proposal to rein in ICE, but they're happy to let Democrats spend your tax money to equip ICE mercenaries with body cameras. Why? Because they know body cams won't restrain ICE any more than they do cops: crimethinc.com/bodycams Don't try to reform ICE. Abolish them.

During negotiations on the homeland security bill, Republicans rejected a series of proposals by Democrats to rein in ICE, including barring funds from being used to to detain or deport U.S. citizens. Democrats succeeded in winning the addition of $20 million for purchasing body cameras for ICE agents.
