There’s growing panic in the White House as no one can remember whether it’s Donald Trump’s turn to announce massive strikes on Iran or to announce that he’s called offmassive strikes on Iran because they’re now begging for a deal. More news as we get it

🚨🚨Apologies to say this but this plan is extremely detached from realities of #EU politics and completely fails to understand the political dynamics of #Brussels.

Yet another UK attempt to have the benefits of EU membership without the obligations. It has zero chance of going anywhere. It would seem that the British will never learn. Like Sisyphus, they are doomed to forever roll a rock up the European hill, never reaching the summit before it rolls down.
We already know from history and recent experiences that the Commission and the political leaders of the EU Member States will never agree to any cherry-picking arrangement for the UK. Unless, the UK committs free movement of persons, any single market access is out of the question. /2
Another day, another plan originating from the UK that would involve the EU making wholesale changes to its own internal and external arrangements to suit the interests and political preferences of a neighbouring non-member state.

This thread from the Spanish Foreign Office is really useful for anyone faced with mis/disinformation about the situation in Ceuta. There is one hell of a lot of that about at the moment!! Please use it to counteract ignorant claims, wherever they're from. It's available in French and Spanish too.
1/5 🧵 Entering Spain irregularly through Ceuta or Melilla does not grant any right to remain in the country, travel to mainland Spain, or move freely within Europe. It also poses a grave risk to life. No court ruling has changed this. 🔗 www.exteriores.gob.es/en/Comunicac...

Brexitism: Brexit’s new domains
This commentary argues that the term ‘Brexitism’ is a necessary addition to the lexicon of concepts used to understand contemporary British politics. Its value lies in capturing how Brexit continue...

Aa expected, Putin's POTUS has refused Patriot missiles for Ukraine. The Trump Admin is allied with Putin. Every Ukrainian murdered, their blood is on Putin and Trump's hands. Vance said his proudest moment was cutting aid to Ukraine. He's a fucking war criminal a low life savage like Netanyahu
This is totally the wrong approach? You don’t want British nationals to have to go through EES when going to EU member states? Neither do I. Here’s how to get around it: rejoin the EU.
✅ Long queues ✅ Faulty tech ✅ Missed flights The EU’s Entry/Exit System is causing chaos at passport control. We’re calling to suspend it. Liberal Democrat Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, @CalumMillerLD.bsky.social, explains why 👆
🤣🤣🤣 #OhBehave We have no say on the EU systems or how they run! If you don't want British people to be subject to EES then join the EU!
Yet again the Lib Dems have chosen the most important issue Heatwaves, wildfires, drought, hosepipe bans, war raging on our continent and in the Middle East……..all minor issues compared to having to queue for an hour or so

Ceuta is not in Schengen. I´m tired of the "patriotic" far right aligning themselves with anyone trying to destabilize/interfere with their own countries/EU. This is not the first time this happens, won´t be the last, is a political crisis weaponized as an humanitarian one. Again. 19 deaths for now.
To the lovely and charming people from the EU right and far right (some from the Comission): if you want to govern in Spain, win a election. Crazy as it sounds, this is a democracy. 2nd: if you want to restrict Schengen due to this, let´s talk about why we are not doing it in the East. Only South.

Brexit Part 7: The Way Forward is Joining the EU, but How?
There is increasing consensus that Brexit was a terrible mistake. The slogan "Make Brexit Work" is an oxymoron. Brexit cannot work. Joining the EU is the only way forward.

If there is no comprehensive assessment by government of the benefits & costs of joining the customs union before 2028 then the most we will see at GE in 2029 is generic waffle to give the government wiggle room. It may allow EEA/EFTA but no more than that. Rejoining the EU is a very long process.
ANYONE that believes joining the EU is the best thing for the future of Britain who votes Labour is an absolute idiot... Do yourselves a favour... vote for a party that share your hopes & dreams (channelling a bit of Matt Santos there!)

I always wondered this, the UK can't influence the EU from the inside because it was dominated by the French and Germans etc. So if it can't influence the EU whilst a member, how the f*** did they think it was going to influence the EU from outside, or influence China, the US etc.
Brexiters: people who think Britain still rules the world, but at the same time is too insignificant to have any impact on climate change.
