Abdul El-Sayed was outspent 9-to-1 by AIPAC and corporate Super PACs in the most expensive Senate Democratic primary of all time. Last night, he proved that organized people can beat organized money.

as noted yesterday, Trump has now come around to treating an Iranian toll system covering the Strait of Hormuz as a given. Hard to overstate the level of strategic failure. US started the war purely as a war of choice and ends up dramatically empowering Iran and given the Iranian govt big wins.
Reuters: Iran wants fees of 5%-7% of the price of cargo from ships using the strait; Oman wants 3%. "Making fees voluntary, at least nominally, could be a way out of the impasse, although an implied threat of Iranian attacks could mean shippers would be unlikely to risk transit without paying."
Russia has discovered a new purpose for drones, @anneapplebaum.wsocial.eu writes: “Instead of avoiding civilians, Russian operators can now target them, as if they were playing a video game”:

IRAN HAS SIGNALED IT IS WILLING TO REOPEN THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ BUT IS DEMANDING THE RIGHT TO COLLECT TRANSIT FEES, SECURITY GUARANTEES AGAINST FUTURE ATTACKS, AN END TO THE U.S. NAVAL BLOCKADE AND RELIEF FROM U.S. OIL SANCTIONS. - WSJ
US Treasury Secretary Bessent says a deal with Iran could be announced as soon as tomorrow. Bessent claims that the deal would reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Seems likely that President Trump posted this ahead of Sec Bessent on his Truth Social account for paid subscribers of early Truth dumps.
Reuters reporting: The U.S. has used “virtually all” of its precision strike missiles during the war in Iran. Stockpiles on ATACMs and Precision Strike Missiles are almost depleted. And we have used about half of our Tomahawks, per new data circulating inside the admin. #IranWar

Trump's a bit unhinged b/c he cannot bomb his way to Iran's surrender. Every time he claims some new imminent negotiations w/ Iran, his claims are shot down by Iran, making him look stupid.
I mean this in all seriousness, this is a severely mentally ill & delusional person who not only should be removed from office under the 25th amendment, but he should be in a psych ward. This is pure insanity on so many levels. He lives in a fantasy world. He is unwell & has lost touch with reality.

Max Miller said on X Live that "Journalism is supposed to ask difficult questions... and tell the whole story." Miller *repeatedly* declined to answer detailed questions from Mother Jones before we published our story.
