Emerald Lake, BC. We saw a black bear on the way there and an Osprey when we arrived. Beautiful spot in The Rockies.

Really enjoying it. Well written. Some really fun bits as well.
New comedy Ann Droid, which launched last month on BBC One, has become a hit for the BBC. Episode 1 of the comedy has consolidated to 4.61 million viewers after 7-days - the highest rating programme of the entire week of release, only behind the World Cup.
Mount Rundle, in Banff, Alberta, today from our balcony. Smoke from wildfires in BC was thick when we arrived in Calgary yesterday. And hung in the air all the way to Banff. Half the Rockies disappeared from view. Smoke is blowing away this evening. No fires are allowed to be lit in the area!
Someone explain this to me? Not seen it before. On a MTB at Crankworx in Whistler.
I've discovered THE best hobby. Just pick a town, join all its local Facebook groups. Then drive there one night with a job lot of gnomes and drop them on a few doorsteps. Then sit back and watch the fireworks.
Been away 10 days in Canada. I gather the NYSD League is in the news. I missed that story breaking a few days ago.
The Goodies are coming for you, and you, and you. 🎵🎶 Bill Oddie was a good one - and a HUGELY keen birder.

Should have seen the sky in Toronto on Saturday. It was brown and mucky. All from the hundreds of wildfires. Two sunny days followed. Now big thunderstorms this morning.
Have you noticed an opaqueness to the blue sky this morning? Wildfire smoke from North America is drifting south across the UK, meaning the clear skies may not be as blue as you might expect 🌤️
Pre internet I once drove half an hour home to get a dictionary to prove to my work colleague that the word gullible was in the dictionary. I was literally 2 mins away, on the way back, when it dawned on me.
David Longstaff, former ice hockey player too.
World Cup final Toronto style. In the Bottom Line Sports bar run by former Newcastle Vipers net minder Wayne Cowley. He tells us The Longstaffs are in here from Newcastle. Place is heaving. Ted Lasso has just got a massive cheer in the bar. Now waiting for footy to break out again.
Cynical, scheming, boring and then - finally, inevitably - violent. Properly shameful operation which shouldn't be whitewashed by being called 'streetwise'.
Happy to be wrong. Well done Spain. Football won in the end. Not the play acting and tomfoolery.
I'm so pleased you were wrong.
And the end of the Final Countdown.
Just another hour or so and footballers in every TV ad break will be over for another two years. Just imagine that! Lots of people in this bar in Toronto wearing team colours who have probably been to neither country! Just a hunch.
Argentina will win with their only shot. A controversial penalty which Messi will score.
Meanwhile, in London, some clever R3 scheduler had the Spanish National Orchestra playing at The Proms tonight... no doubt a mad dash by the musicians to get to the nearest pub with a TV 🤣

Was watching in a bar in Bilbao and the owner turned it off during the first hydration break and started closing up. Proper Basque behaviour.

This is a wild piece of political trivia from the BBC about Burnham’s wife that I am shocked @popbitch.bsky.social hasn’t clocked yet…
