I’m not a Botticelli Venus just a wee person in Scotland who thinks that each of us has to choose unity and peace in our own life. I’m choosing to focus on beauty, truth and joy because I believe that only an open loving heart can heal us and our Earth 🌎.

I was walking my dog tonight and ran into a neighbor who has severe dementia. He’s such a nice guy and said he likes me because he can remember me. We laughed and walked and talked for a while and even if he doesn’t remember these conversations, I will.

The guy who did such an incredible job with the Reflecting Pool, Ballroom, Kennedy Center, National Mall, and Great American Fair is going to redesign our warships. What could go wrong?

“A marriage is more likely to succeed if the woman follows her own star and remains conscious of her wholeness than if she constantly concerns herself with her husband’s star and his wholeness.” -Carl Jung Conversations with C.G. Jung, Page 51

What is something that brought you Joy today? I helped a friend pick peppers. He's red/green colorblind and the peppers he's growing are dark green before turning bright red. I'd never considered how colorblindness could affect a gardener. I'm glad I could help and hang out with a friend.

Depth psychology demonstrated that we do not have just one will, consciously controlled, but many motivational centers that move us often unconsciously and that may at times work at cross-purposes,~Keiron Le Grice

To have the courage to accept a quality which one does not like in oneself & which one has chosen to repress for many years, is an act of great courage. But if one does not accept the quality, then it functions behind one’s back.~M-Louise von Franz, Shadow & Evil in Fairy Tales

After a very busy few months with work, I'm catching up on my book reviews over the next few weeks. This is one of those books that feels like much more than a book; it's a piece of history. A powerful, heartbreaking and incredibly important book that everyone should read. 💙📚

“People who’ve had any genuine spiritual experience always know that they don’t know. They are utterly humbled before mystery… in wonder at eternity and depth, and a Love, which is incomprehensible to the mind.”~Richard Rohr, Falling Upward

‘Taking for granted’ is the opposite of gratitude We take Nature and all that it provides for granted until we are without what we need Not just want but need We need good air clean water bearable safe temperatures sunlight and rain producing healthy food Who are we thanking for those?

(2/2) If entities can do this in a moment, they may go forward in a moment, and, thus, were this to occur in a major cycle, indeed, the third-density planet would be vacated at the end of that cycle. – Ra

“As any change must begin somewhere, it is the single individual who will experience it and carry it thru. The change must indeed begin with an individual; it might be any one of us. Nobody can afford to look round & to wait for somebody else ...” ~ Carl Jung, The Symbolic Life.

Image containing a text quotation, with the grey silhouetted profile of a man like Jung lighting his pipe, in the lower left-hand corner. The text, from Carl Jung, The Symbolic Life, Collected Works 18, reads:

Can You Spare any Change?

“As any change must begin somewhere, it is the single individual who will experience it and carry it through. The change must indeed begin with an individual; it might be any one of us. Nobody can afford to look round and to wait for somebody else to do what he is loath to do himself. As nobody knows what he could do, he might be bold to ask himself whether by any chance his unconscious might know something helpful, when there is no satisfactory conscious answer anywhere in sight.”

Myths are not ‘lies’ They express truth in a figurative way The myth of #Icarus - son of Daedalus master of technology- by his father’s genius was able to fly with the wings made by his father but was warned not to fly too close to the Sun He ignored the warning His wings disintegrated He fell
