Explaining NoA's legal naming conventions to an American: So imagine the burger food
They still do, at least Nintendo of America does. If you watch a UK Nintendo Direct you'll see that they just say "game" instead of "the [game] game" like in the US. Which means that they make the narrator record two versions of the same line every time he mentions the name of a Nintendo game.

Did you know? After the source code for Super Mario 64 was rebuilt, dataminers found that the “64” on the title screen actually stands for the hardware of the running device. This produces interesting results on native PC builds.
I can finally talk about this, 3 years later... github.com/tailscale/ta... It's a library + CLI tool that's like netcat, but over Tailscale's data plane without any control plane (no accounts, no dependence on Tailscale the company, all open source) WireGuard + NAT traversal without IP addresses.
GitHub - tailscale/tailcat: like netcat, but over Tailscale's data plane, without Tailscale's control plane

I see people say “there are too many friendslop games and you’ll just play them for 5-10 hours and move on to the next one” as if that’s a bad thing?? Oh nooo imagine getting to play lots of fun video games that are cheap and aren’t needlessly bloated oh nooooooo woe is meeeeeeeee
I don't think the term "friendslop" is good because "slop" suggests that the game is cheaply made or low quality. But the reality is that these 5 dollar "friendslop" games are very well made and they are fun. In a time where video games cost 80 dollars I think this is very good value for money.

This reminds me of a youtuber I saw once complaining that Garfield Kart would shut down his computer with a controller plugged in and it turns out the problem was that the most upvoted steam config for Garfield Kart at the time was a community config that bound every button to "Shutdown Computer"

This way a game can support both Joy-Con mouse and USB mouse controls with the same code, reducing developer burden. Knowing that, next time a game only accepting mouse-con but not USB mouse input will get a side-eye from me. 2/
