Dev from Italy. I like AI and machine learning. And building on AT Protocol. Working on @currents.is and @juttu.app. Blog: matteomarjanovic.com

Thanks. Yes, that's what I was trying to say, but took too long to get there. Our politics community is strong, and I'd love for us to expand into new communities. Science and sports have already taken off. Birding, gardening, K-pop, we're open to all (except nazis and jerks).

Two big announcements: 1. I'm looking for my next job. 2. My website is now one of the most "Atmospheric" websites to date, going beyond just @standard.site to include @teal.fm, @anisota.net, custom lexicons, a status bar, data inspector, and more. If you want to work together, get in touch!

I’m looking for my next job — dame.is

Over the past 12 months I designed, built, and launched a dozen apps and experiences on the AT Protocol, including anisota.net, a calmer user interface for Bluesky, and Aturi, a toolkit for navigating...

coding everything by hand and never using AI within your development workflow is actually irresponsible at this point

people love the For You feed, and it shows in the numbers. it generates around 4% of post views inside feeds on Bluesky. that's amazing especially because it's operated by one dev, @spacecowboy17.bsky.social given its popularity, we've decided to give it a bump in visibility on the feeds page.

Screenshot showing how the For You feed may appear at the top of the Feeds page in the Bluesky app.

Mobile apps are in the works 😬 But in the meantime, you can install Currents as a PWA to your home screen, and get a near-app experience already!

A screenshot of a folder called "Atmosphere" on a Samsung smartphone homepage. It includes the followind apps: "mu", "Anisota", "Bluesky", "Sifa", "Currents", "Semble", "kiplclip", "pckt", "Streamplace".

Modern AI resulted from research made also by many non-US scientists (Hinton, the French folks, Linnainmaa, many others). The pre-training corpus was produced worldwide with massive code contribution from Europe OSS. What is happening with frontier LLMs is unacceptable.

I'm implement GLM 5.2 in DwarfStart with support for 2bit and 4bit quants, SSD streaming, and so forth. With Metal it already works well. CUDA / ROCm work still to do.

PSA Anisota is no longer a Bluesky client, it is an Atmosphere client. You can publish directly to @grain.social + @leaflet.pub / @standard.site among many other things. You can also cast, craft, & share Spells. There's a new way to engage called Post Poetry. + alt text generation. So much more!

The wait is over... Anisota virginiensis is here! A big evolution in our experiment of what social media can be. • Spells • Post Poetry • Blended Feeds • Alt Text Generator • Post Adviser • Support for @standard.site, @grain.social, @teal.fm, @leaflet.pub • More... Enter the forest: anisota.net

Three smartphone mockups displaying the Anisota app interface with the tagline "Bringing magic and creativity back to social media." Left screen shows "Post Poem" by @dame.is, a fridge-magnet poetry tool with words arranged to read "atmosphere software is cool est when it i s queer." Center screen displays "Spells," rules that reshape Anisota by time, day, or stamina, listing active spells like Night Owl, Weekend Quiet, and Golden Hour, with an interface to create a new spell called "Quiet Mornings." Right screen shows "Blended Feeds" mixing up to three feeds into one timeline, with options for Following, Quiet mutuals, Naturalists, and Morning Blend feeds. Anisota virginensis logo appears in top right corner.

wait... people are still copying DNS records by hand? 👋🙂‍↔️ we've partnered with @marque.at to bring domain registration directly into pckt.blog. buy a domain and we'll configure everything for you automatically. it’s like magic 🪄🎩🐰
