I've been looking for a Pinterest replacement for a while now. Tired of the ads, promoted Pins, AI-generated images, decreasing quality of search results. Just read about image clipper @currents.is in @tynanpurdy.com 's blog on @pckt.blog. Intrigued! Looking forward to trying.

I'm also in the process of exporting my random pinterest boards to @currents.is which has a nice feature to automate that. Both seem truly like things that belong on my own PDS so hooray atproto

You can now follow other users and import the people you follow on Bluesky to Currents. You can find this button on your own profile page. This is the very first step to make Currents an actual social app 😅

The potential of the ATmosphere is just so massive. Here we have an integrated Pinterest as & a user-input program, both built in such a way that they can be spread far and wide and become seamlessly part of the larger online AT-Proto environment. So elegant!

Currents is an image clipping app on the Atmosphere, similar to Pinterest. Use the same account you use with Bluesky and the rest of the Atmosphere. Your pins stay with you forever. Now they have an import tool so you can migrate from Pinterest!
