He/him. Physically disabled. Canadian-American; fond of rye toast, when he can get it. Dreams a little.

I had a dream last night about Mantan Moreland and Larry Fine doing children's television all-day block programming interstitials. Complete with them being half-complete colourised. What a weird dream. Just a lot of direct-address to the camera by them.

I hope she’ll be OK! I doubt many cis people actually want the reality of this. Access to something as fundamental as toilets based on how feminine other people judge you to be is bad for them too. And lots of trans women aren’t that easy to spot no matter what the GCs say.

Happy segregation day everyone. I have no doubt this government (and Starmer) will eventually be remembered for their awful human rights abuses. Take care if you’re out and about today - there will be GCs around actively looking to ruin our day. Hopefully they’ll end up targeting each other! 🤞

What's dumb is saying government should not be funded. Shutdowns cause real pain, which is why the threat always favors Republicans over Democrats. Anyone pushing for a more socialist government should be *really* invested in keeping the social security & medicaid offices open.

People say this a lot but I think it takes a remarkable sort of arrogance for almost anyone on Bluesky to estimate that their posts will help or hurt a candidate for the senate in any way greater than the opportunity cost of spending time poasting at all instead of doing normal campaign activities

Like if we’re electionmaxxing the juice from being magnanimous and highly professional on Bluesky is already dwarfed by never posting on Bluesky at all and just religiously devoting your waking hours to phonebanking or generating income that lets you travel to Michigan and campaign on the ground

Daniel has national prominence because of his video of the murder of Renee Good. For better or worse, that means the possibility his posts can be used out of context by bad faith news outlets. I'd hate that kind of attention, but would appreciate reminders that I'm not just poasting if I ever get it

This government is OUR government, as much as we dislike the current political leadership. I'd be happy to explain why funding the FAA is important to someone who's capable of conversing without out of context interest in my bottom half.

Post nicht verfügbar.

Yeah except we’re talking about a guy who explicitly did not do that even while they received no concessions from Biden or Harris So ‘goose & gander’ here seems to imply ‘we feel no loyalty to anyone expressing support for Palestinians no matter what they personally do’

This was explicitly the message some of Uncommitted took, and why some of Uncommitted saw Trump's victory as a victory for them. And cynically they might not be wrong, in the long term, given the massive switch in American leftist sentiment related to I/P - and to Jews.

Yes, and you'll note I didn't say it wasn't. But again - if you think a candidate is publicly bigoted against your group, especially if your group is small enough your votes won't sway things by themselves, you don't want to tell the party your concerns can be safely discounted with a victory.

Well you're wrong imo, but that's also besides the point. I'm not taking sides. I'm saying everyone preaches unity but some people are quite happy to threaten to crash the plane because they see unity as a smokescreen over "a situation where I and mine take in on the chin."

The argument that "well voting for A Republican is worse than voting for Sayed because the Republican will be the bigger bigot" hits the immediate counter argument of "no, actually, it would be worse to lose my space within the coalition where I'm considered valuable enough to be worth defending."
