interesting that even in an article that is very much pro-nurse the early frame is that nurses are not willing to work in jobs that have become increasingly demanding and not jobs are underpaying nurses

I'm a full Professor of Immunology and fully vaccinated. I didn't get vaccinated out of obedience, but after decades of studying the immune system and evaluating all evidence. Calling that "lack of critical thinking" is not an argument. It's ideology masked as pretend intellect.

Cycling in 2026 in a nutshell: We get start to finish broadcast of a more or less flat stage of Tour de Pologne. We get only about 50% coverage of the Tour de France Femmes, with a Cat 1 climb straight after the start... What a joke.
Saying this in very blunt terms as a 5th grader got me in trouble. (I called Columbus a raping, murderous bastard who didn’t discover anything…my 5th grade teacher didn’t appreciate my input. My dad backed me up 100%, though. (The perks of having a dad who was in AIM in the 1970s!)

This is why I will not cross the line and take the $4,000+ per week travel nurse job at Henry Ford Genesys ICU (that, and it’s 5 x 12.5 hour shifts per week, with 2 hours of commute time at a minimum)… I grew up with a union carpenter for a dad, and multiple union members in my family.

i once sat in my ambulance with a patient for 10 hours because there were no ER beds because there were no beds available anywhere in the hospital we ran through every O2 tank we had and the hospital was so low on O2 tanks that they couldn’t give us a new one
