For those calling for him to be fired ~ As the President of FIFA Infantino cannot be "fired" by a boss or a board of directors. He can only be removed by the FIFA Congress via a vote, suspended by the independent Ethics Committee, or forced out if he chooses to resign. Next Congress March 2027!

𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 - Sobeys has removed the maple leaf symbols from its store shelves, according to a CBC investigation. Those symbols helped us all find and support Canadian brands. Sobeys either supports this country or it doesn’t. Seems it’s made its choice. Now we'll make ours.

The French actor and writer Jean Reno wrote the novel “L’Évasion” (“The Escape”) about Ukrainian children abducted by Russian occupiers, featuring an undercover DGSE agent who infiltrates a camp in Siberia. He said the book was inspired by real cases and aims to draw global attention to the issue.

One of my hobbies is a bit out there and I make stuff for it which gets given away as sort of certificates of achievement. This weekend saw 3 such things and an indenture contract. That hobby is the Society for Creative Anachronism and in it I am a scribe. These were fun to do.

The leaves are gold leaf gilded as is the main capital letter. A medieval style page from a book of hours, this is done in the style common for Flemish illuminators. The text is essentially saying the person getting this has done cool things so we grant them the right of arms. The capital letter is gold leaf gilded, the border is bronze powder pain and the flowers are gouache and watercolour. This is a Knighting scroll. Flat gilded gold leaf border and painted acanthus leaves and flowers, with text on one side and miniatures on the other. You are looking at how the light shines off the gold. It is based off the Book of Hours (Use of Rouen).In the SCA if one reaches the level of Mastery apprentices become a thing. This is a document for an apprenticeship contract. It is the same on both sides, and once signed by all the parties is cut in a wavy pattern down the middle.

There appears to be a pattern of sorts happening in the U.S. The national media isn’t covering many of these fires happening across the country. However, local media networks are and you have to search for them. This is what I’ve found so far.
