This is the big one for me. I actually like looking back at the achievements or using them as a end game checklist but nothing sucks the energy out of a game moment like a badly timed achievement.
Kayin@kayin.moe · 6d agoAlso its incredible that Steam still doesn't let you turn off Achievements like you can turn off all notifications, which I do, for MANY reasons, because I'm not an insane person, but like... idk!! That seems like a big oversight!! Like some people might care about other notifications!
I was looking for an old quote and found this year old artcile where a Kotaku writer feels so stupidly about Nintendo not having achievements. "ARE THEY TOO GOOD FOR ACHIEVEMENTS??" Yes Zack, they are. For all I can criticize about nintendo, they actually design their games.
While I do enjoy it alot of the time, I sometimes feel like one of the five guys getting knocked down lol
