So so tragic when a town refuses to let drivers park their cars right next to shops or restaurants

It irks me endlessly that we use “public safety” to mean policing and not traffic calming

I forgot to post this but I saw it on Sheridan, outside Lighthouse Beach, in Evanston. It’s setup with a HAWK-lite system to cross Sheridan.

This is the HRRR near-surface smoke density model from 1:00pm today for tomorrow at 8:00am. Pretty sharp gradient between dense smoke and limited ground-level smoke. Expect nasty air quality conditions regardless as that boundary ebbs and flows throughout the day. #ILwx #WXSky
