“We’ve decided to give the former neo-Nazi an important job, shaping policy for the next Conservative government, not emptying the bins in Loserham-on-Sea.”

That writer guy you like. Bi, trans, polyamorous, slutty, neurodivergent, hot. Buy my book that explains why politics has gone weird. I live in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK. https://linktr.ee/iheartpolitics
Credit to Badenoch, this was a totally unsurprising news alert until the final clause when my eyes popped out of my head like a cartoon character.
Blocking anyone celebrating today. I mean the EHRC thing, not randomers having a birthday
Somewhat disgusting to hear Nick Robinson on Today talk about "trans rights" versus "women's right to safe spaces". That ain't it Nick
i kid you not, this is the YouTube channel of the candidate Kemi's defending
"groups that campaign for sex-based rights welcome the clarity it brings." ... And then goes on to explain that it's not that clear, in practice.
Unworkable. Cruel. Discriminatory. So many people are going to be hurt because of this law. If you want your blood to boil more, read through this article. It is absolutely biased nonsense.
When your red lines (we all have them, it’s a lie to pretend you don’t) don’t impinge on active Neo-Nazis
“Nobody should be pushed out of public life permanently” is such a thought-terminating cliche.
People in my life are like you have nothing to worry about, you 100% pass and nobody is even going to suspect you. But all it takes is someone who has seen me online to make a fuss. I had a following before I started to transition. Full stealth and anonymity were never an option
when the revised code dropped a lot of lab mps where like "wait, how do services be trans inclusive if they want to?" &, like, they can't. that's the whole point this is what we've been trying to tell you for almost 2 years & you've been blithely ignoring us
& when you say "no, it means in the pub trans people can't use either men or women's toilets" there's this kinda blank stare you get the same thing describing republican policy in the simplest terms: people just don't believe you because it sounds nuts
it's the same reason you have people trying to defend rob liddle on the grounds he was nice to them
What is this constant nonsense about how people shouldn't be judged for their past actions and comments and affiliations. Of course they should. What else should they be judged for if not that
I wouldn't boast about this attack on civil rights if I were you. Nor would I stick a giant picture of my face on it. I am, however, judging those who aren't loudly condemning it
Our code of practice for services, public functions and associations comes into force today. It provides practical guidance on how the Equality Act 2010 applies to services, public functions and associations. Find out more: https://ow.ly/alIf50Zwrkx
I recently noticed in my dissertation that Word was using Co-Pilot to generate alt-text of the charts/maps, with a tag that they were AI generated.
My daughter’s university scrutinizes each essay for evidence of AI. The goal is to get a 0% score. This AI-hunting is done by… AI. A recent essay scored 17%. She questioned what the AI thought was AI, since she hadn’t used it. The answer: the uni-issued cover page showing student ID, faculty etc. 🤦🏻♂️
🧵Scottish anti-abortion groups are still attempting to make this disinformation take off in MAGA occupied 🇺🇸 No, a teacher was not ‘sacked’ for being anti-abortion. She was not sacked at all. She’s now being booked for speaking gigs 🙄Please share to debunk… www.thenational.scot/politics/264...
Respecting freedom of speech does not mean a removal of consequences
REPORTS have been circulating of a teacher supposedly being sacked on the same day she told children that she opposes abortion. As a teacher, I am…

Badenoch tripling down in defending a Nazi on the Today programme. I genuinely think she should be forced to step down over this. It’s fully, fully revolting.
When they said “there will be no toilet police” they were always just saying so we need You 🫵 to be a toilet vigilante and sniff out the gender deviants
This is what they expected and wanted to happen: that members of the public, shown the cops would take their side if they kicked off and went mental at anyone they suspected of being a transgender, would then start going apeshit en masse and enforce their wacko ideas for them.
sometimes the internet is a wonder, sometimes the internet is a mistake and sometimes the internet brings you "cheerleading 9/11" and has transcended the need for adjectives
Oh my god I think I found the video.
I think people are seeing the mass arrests of people for wearing t-shirts and holding signs in support of Palestine Action and are assuming there's One Weird Trick to force the cops to treat Nazis the same
www.thenational.scot/news/2641894... This is great and all, but the police already ignore it when Nazis turn up with Combat 18 flags and combat 18 has been banned since they went on a bombing spree in Muslim Jewish and Gay areas in London.
Oh my god the dietician who is telling everyone in the White House to only eat steak and sauerkraut doesn't wipe his ass.
The best way to honour a writer who proudly wrote what they believed is to quote word for word exactly what they believed. Like this. ⬇️ www.theguardian.com/media/2010/j...
Liddle's ex-colleagues find it easy to defend his mainstream journalism as a lark But a conscious effort to ignore what his Millwall-Monkey stuff revealed."Even the Jews were allowed to smoke at Auschwitz" was reported. His "niggermeat, not wogmeat" comments + most virulent sexist threads were not
Well, the FCC Commissioner has made the decision, first announced in an op-ed in Breitbart, stating that a regulatory body does not have to observe laws made by Congress if they don't feel like it. Every month is new and unprecedented territory. docs.fcc.gov/public/attac...
Some highlights from the Hate Crimes Live! show I did the other week. Video by Danneh Gleave
They made the trans woman disappear from this story like it was a magic trick. Incredible work, everybody
Well, it appears that, sometime in the last 17 hours, Gwen Pepperoni was suspended for the crime of pointing out Ken Jennings' transphobia.
A PSA to my fellow cis people who are (or want to believe they are) trans allies If you are getting pushback from trans people and your reaction is to be all “no! not me! I’m one of the good ones!” please remember that “being one of the good ones” is something you DO, not something you ARE
Ex-PM Starmer said, in response to Raise the Colours terrorising people, ‘I am supporter of flags’, ‘I’m very encouraging of flags. I think they’re patriotic and I think they’re a great symbol of our nation’ and his family had ‘got St George’s flag in our flat’ www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...
The campaign of harassment and intimidation Raise the Colours have undertaken against council staff, contractors, and members of the public as reported by the Clarion today is shocking if not surprising. Excellent reporting. oxfordclarion.uk/the-clarion-...
There are literally people quote-posting this who ignore everything Mike has said and just say wow, amazing, game-changer
Almost *everything* you see in this format, whether infinite power cubes or solar powered houses for the homeless that fold out of suitcases or French "bread libraries" for the poor is liberal catnip bullshit by content farms. Stop being idiots. Thank you.
For fuck's sake. The "protected belief" phenomenon has really got out of hand, judges are increasingly just throwing it out there for any weirdo who wants to harass people at work. Reminder that this provision was intended to protect *religious* beliefs.
pleased to announce that I've been hired by The New York Times. my job is to commission articles written by right-wing politicians, activists, and billionaires where they describe their activities in whatever way they see fit. it's nice because I don't have to edit or fact check anything
