Sort of, but I have become increasingly convinced that the fundamental weakness of the US system is that it was built on chattel slavery and so all of the institutions do not matter if the norm that is central to your nation's founding is owning people.

like i agree with the sentiment but i also feel like its valid to just disagree with certain critiques, y'know? i also get that its hard to not be a dick about what you don't like sometimes but in other cases it feels so forced, because that's how you get attention and clicks these days 😭
idk if this is gonna make any sense but sometimes i feel like people going "its normal to be critical of what you enjoy" only seems to be done whenever others get annoyed with critiques that are pretty bad faith and hostile towards the work, the creator, and anyone who likes either.
