Also, my options were Spider-Man and the Odyssey. I generally feel pretty bad when I watch Nolan movies, immediately, on a sensory level. With Spoodermang, I just have to talk on the company like they're H.P. Lovecraft- an absolute shitlord whose stuff you can steal and be morally correct.
Also Fuck Marvel and fuck Sony, but Really good moments between Frank and Peter. In some ways, I prefer this to their canonical relationship, but it's also pretty close. Amazing, SPECTACULAR textual moments between Red and Pete. Red especially gets some good illustrations of her savvy.

The correct casting for Storm is: Literally an African actress- Kenyan specifically; early 20's; tall; looks good with a mohawk; sounds good reading Shakespeare. I promise this is actually easier than Wolverine.

Also, if Gambit ends up not being ChannyTay going forward (and I would actually like to see a Tatum/Paquin romance), Gambit should be Black.
Anyway, Scott Summers should be Black. Professor Xavier sees the Dream, while Erik sees the Darkness. Scott has to actively navigate these both. Cyclops is Black.
Regarding Spoder-Mane: She's absolutely the most interesting live-action version of that character so far, just on performance. As a piece of writing, she was more interesting than any version of her comics counterpart so far. Sadie Sink carries. Kinda funny that I fancast her boyfriend Black now
This seems like a very personal story of another's for me to be sharing, but it's here and it's real, and the people I live with and speak with should put it in their hearts.

Fairness In Women's Sports shit is disheartening to me for a lot of reasons. but one that I really need people to chew on is: sports do not actually matter that's what they're for they exist to not matter the overton window is so fucked that we're treating *games* as if they're worth any of this
