RT with your home river. my first home river was the Cheboygan, two blocks from the first place I called home. then it was the Pigeon, along which I spent many hours camping, hiking, and occasionally swimming despite the leeches. now it’s the Potomac and I wouldn’t advise doing any swimming there.

RT with your home river. I grew up in a village on the Wey, sometimes we'd hire a rowing boat on summer afternoons and dad would row us between green banks. Now its the Gwendraeth, shorter, more of a mountain river, home to otters and egrets.

maybe not a freak out, but we still had a high school football game on Friday the 14th (with extra cops) and our marching band tabled the show we’d been working on all summer to play patriotic music in a block while the cheerleaders held the largest American flag they could get in 3 days behind us

Tales of everyday corruption. Pete Hegseth cancelled the $400,000 contract for making uniforms for the Blue Angels on the grounds that the contract with "The Sewing Box" was DEI since the firm is Black-owned. Instead, he awarded it to a Trump donor for $1,690,000, a 325% price increase!
