Writer. She/her. Watching my way through Pokemon.

One day, one of these cop procedural shows with a female lead is going to solve the "she has two guys interested" problem with healthy, sensible polyamory instead of all this vacillating and hangups and the writers killing off one so she doesn't have to pick and be "unlikeable"

I want to make a few things clear: Trans rights are human rights. Cis gays must stand up for our trans siblings because the bigots are coming for us next. Prominent Democrats’ recent squishiness on trans rights is unacceptable.

You'd get in more trouble if your dog bit someone ffs. It is exhausting to live in a world where they get to do whatever they want and never have any consequences and then people call us irrational for LOATHING EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THEM.

“oh well, nothing we can do here” is not a legal approach we take to any other tools that are used to commit crimes and I don’t see why we should with these ones, even if they aren’t being specifically directed to do so

It's the job of the media to scrutinize such statements and decide whether there's a story here at all (maybe the story is Anthropic researchers have fallen into a fantasy-land and brought many policymakers with them), not to just platform them. >>

Weren't we all universally horrified when ISIS was live streaming public executions*? It's probably not quite right to refer to those as executions because we generally disagree with the ISIS's asserted authority to act as a government.
