aerochrome isn't real. it's a lie. there's just an island in the pacific where all the trees are pink. they are hiding this from us to convince us to buy $300 expired film. they don't want you to know

29 years ago my (then future) mother-in-law dropped and broke her Aiborg leading to her daughter bringing it to my shop for a repair… the rest, dear reader, is history… said daughter and I have been married for almost 26 years!
I love capturing those moments where London Underground trains line up perfectly with station posters. With a little patience and a bit of luck, you can end up with some wonderfully amusing and unexpected shots.
So thanks to Steve and peering closely at the third photo in this set I have just learned of the wild existence of… …the Konica Aiborg! Surely the ultimate #ShittyCameraChallenge contender. Naturally I want one youtu.be/3dz9tEVcrlA?...

Visited a friend who teaches digital media in a local high school but also has photography classes. I volunteered my services today to check out all his digital & assorted film cameras to see if they work (just the film cameras. All the Nikon Z cameras are new). Fun checking everything out
So this is wholesome! My #PostcardsFromAfar postcard from June went on a little adventure on the way to me It was correctly addressed and sent from Illinois - then somehow managed to find it's way to Belfast, where some kind soul popped it in an envelope and forwarded it on to me in Glasgow
@shittychallenge.bsky.social looooook 👀 ONE OF US! ONE OF US! #ShittyCameraChallenge [Alt text for quoted post: Mayor Zohran Mamdani uses a shitty disposable 35mm film camera to take a photo in the stands at the world cup final]
Over the past month, New York has welcomed the world. From neighborhood watch parties to the stadium, we’ve celebrated the communities that make our city the global capital of the beautiful game. Today, we close out a historic World Cup, proud of how New Yorkers showed up every step of the way.
I have just learned there actually is a third place play-off ...they should do it in the style of Only Connect and save all the silliest and most esoteric stuff for the third place play off. Football, but weirder.
I was in the middle of a photoshoot and I turned around and this was happening
Made a friend on my walk by the canal yesterday. Turns out his name is Ziggy and he has his own Instagram! Also he gives excellent cuddles www.instagram.com/glasgowcanal...

It has come to my attention (thanks to @banditelli.org) that if you live in Iceland you can't volunteer to flip crabs but you can volunteer to throw pufflings* which is arguably even better... (* Yes they are called "pufflings") www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/ar...
Throwing puffins off cliff in Iceland
Throwing baby puffins off a cliffs sounds crazy - but this strange act from people in Iceland is actually designed to help them fly.

You need to look at the whole thread! Especially the crab flipping song a couple of posts down 🦀 Disappointed to find that we don't get horseshoe crabs here so there's no crab flipping public service to be done
Omg volunteer crab flippers!!! 🦀
I’m banning leaf blowers, and everybody that wants one will be handed a government-issued rake.
They've finally run out of toffs to stand as PM, your name has been pulled from the hat, what's your one (1) manifesto pledge? Let's assume UBI, PR & tax/eat the rich are standard. I want your petty policies, your extremely personal grudges, your old man yells at cloud laws
It's the Jar of Moles! If you're in That London and have not visited the Jar of Moles then you must go visit the Jar of Moles. They live the in Grant Museum at UCL
Rough day, so have a poem about the Jar of Moles in the Grant Zoology Museum in London that everyone has regarded as too thoroughly batshit to publish
An effective law is one that has a cat's chance in hell of actually working and doesn't make everything worse. Otherwise it's just sparkling commsbollocks.

Any questions, feel free to email me. It's a very cool site and you don't need to know anything about audio other than how to work your phone and send a file. No rules other than relates to being amongst trees alone.
Claire has been collecting (and installing!) audio clips from lone woman amongst trees all around the world for a few years now
Tomorrow and Sunday I'll be playing audio here from around the world as part of 'if trees were lone women what would they sound like in Aarhus'. As well as the audio already received I'm doing a 24 hour call-out for audio from women (inclusive) and NB people from anywhere in the world, details below
Unsettling people in forests since 2021, apparently...
It has become a bit of a ritual to play the camera shutter sound that @moragperkinsphoto.com recorded for Galloway Forest in 2021 at the point where people enter the installation space. Always a huge talking point.
It's come to my attention that some of you might not be aware of this thing. And whilst this account generally specialises in the more aesthetically challenged end of the maritime spectrum, it will happily throw it all out of the window in order to gawp at Turbinia again. JUST LOOK AT IT!
It’s 103 years today since Edith Sitwell sat behind a curtain at London’s Aeolian Hall, reciting bizarre poetry through what looked like a traffic cone, prompting Noel Coward to take the piss, starting a four-decade feud between them, which was eventually resolved by the director of My Fair Lady 🧵
Reader, I bought it 🫣 It's fine. This is fine 🔥🔥🔥☕️
