Morten Elgaard

Graphic designer, living in Copenhagen. Formerly UI Designer at IO Interactive.

Was at the IOI office dropping off a work pc and someone mentioned there was a Reddit thread about me stopping at IOI. Weird being mentioned by name and singled out like that as plenty of talented people were let go, but I appreciate all the kind words none the less. www.reddit.com/r/HiTMAN/com...

Absolutely unbelievable how solar power has taken off worldwide during the Hormuz oil crisis. You don't have to hand it to him, but Trump may have done more to finally kick off a global civilization of effete librul solar users than anyone else in the West

Chart showing solar panel exports from China (the main solar panel maker by a long shot) growing steadily & mightily from 2018 through 2026, then spiking by almost 2x in March 2026.

No longer content with pillaging intellectual work and dismembering our environment (already critically weakened), AI companies are now hellbent on destroying books galore including rare editions. Shut down these nefarious enterprises already.

AI labs buy, scan, shred millions of rare books

If you have retreated to physical books because the internet is too full of AI slop, bad news — now they’re shredding the books to feed their AI slop machines.

I decided to remove the last post because I didn't feel comfortable with how far out it went. Not because anyone asked me to remove it. The games industry is in a hard place at the moment due to external factors affecting a number of studio's. Hoping the best for everyone else affected by it.

IO Interactive is undergoing staffing changes (layoffs) as a "relationship with an external partner" on their unannounced new IP 'Project Fantasy' "has come to an end". The studio is "100% committed" to the title, "it will see the light of day"

Stopped by work for a playtest of the Hitman boardgame. Very thematic and coming along nicely. Got very close, but another player were more clever about the final hit than I was. All images are of course work in progress.

A lot to love in the early hours of 007 First Light, but the club job is one of my favorite levels of the year. Incredible energy, fun teamwork, lots of sneaky options, stressful character interactions, and a dance floor to die for. And Patrick Gibson, my god. A revelation as Bond.
