That EHRC post? Can't see a single one of the "likes" 💅🏻

I go out of my way to avoid using AI. Tried it once, out of curiosity. It was shit. So... don't threaten me with a good time 🙂
I have one answer.
Damaging new guidance from the EHRC will shut out Trans people from daily life simply for existing, and anyone who doesn't conform to narrow ideas of how people should look could face suspicion and confrontation. We are taking a stand against this attack on human rights.
Two unforced blunders from Zack Polanski today. I expect he's under a great deal of pressure, but it's kinda disappointing to see. One of the things I admire about him is his ability to communicate complex subjects quickly and effectively.
🚩 An American transphobe (@viralchristie) was at London Trans Pride, who duped a bunch of trans people into video interviews just to use as clickbait content on their social platforms encouraging nasty comments. Please block & share so they’ll be less able to find trans events/ mislead trans folx 🙏🏻

absolutely fucking insane how it is now government policy that trans people should not get to exist in public. if you are not a cishet neurotypical white Christian male married with 2.4 cishet neurotypical white Christian children then sleep with one eye open because this could be you too.

This is excellent. Labour's response? More extraction of fossil fuels. It's not good enough.
This is what climate failure looks like. Nature, homes and livelihoods are being destroyed. The Government must act now.
Much as I respect your work, Richard, this is a mess. You don't need AI to spell check. The graphics add little or nothing. How did you cope before AI? Do *that* instead. The ALT text is utterly useless. I hope you can take some of the feedback on board.
Much of what is said about economics is little better than gaslighting.... I used AI tools when writing this post, including a spell checker. I also used 50 years of experience writing about these issues. The drawing was the smallest part of all that, and I had no budget to do it any other way.
@goodlawproject.org is one of only a couple of orgs that receive a small monthly donation from me. Easy to set up, does lots of good (and not just for trans people) 🙂

“It had been know that the code was wrong since 2022.” No. It was not until the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023 that you built the ground for the disgraceful Supreme Court to change the law without our consent.

🚨We have written to all MP's expressing our anger at the government. Our rights WILL be restored. Our voices WILL be heard. We will continue to fight 🏳️⚧️✊
The government’s transphobic code of practice is now up and running. But we’re not going to stand still and take it, we're supporting a legal challenge led by a trans person and a trans inclusive organisation. But we can only do this together. Will you join us?👇 goodlaw.social/ldco
Just a reminder that: - this isn't for workplaces and if your work is trying to implement it scare them over discrimination claims - the onus is on the service provider, not the service user to comply - the code *itself* says enforcement of toilet facilities is unworkable and low priority
EHRC Code of Practice comes into effect today so remember to be an absolute pain in the arse to any service provider who is trying to actively enforce it.
As a human rights law academic, I'm ashamed of this country today and I'm ashamed of our supposed equality commission.

"We are an independent statutory body with the responsibility to encourage equality and diversity, eliminate unlawful discrimination, and protect and promote the human rights of everyone in Britain." I'm judging you on what you *do*, Mary-Ann. It's not matching that statement 👆🏻

I need to write a little thing to my trans volunteer group about the EHRC guidance basically saying, y'know, please don't worry too much about this despite what you might hear today, etc, but all that's coming out when I start drafting is 'loud and garbled scream of frustration.'
"The law is the law and always has been the law and there's always been a bathroom ban in place since 2010 so there". (Also Falkner is now campaigning for the UK to leave the European Convention completely. So she can doubly get fucked).

No parliamentary debate. No new or amended law. Ludicrous biblical sex segregation imposed without any due process, at enormous financial and social cost, and to what end?

“I am going to make it really plain: I support trans rights and I want that to be known.” Andy Burnham, 2025
So 'nice', 'liberal' Andy Burnham is going to preside over by far the largest peacetime roll-back of human rights in the history of the UK. But he is going to remove our human rights "compassionately' "Compassionate oppression" will be the graffitti on his gravestone.

British law is truly fascinating*, you can say "Jewish people don't face discrimination and actually they secretly run the world" and your employer can't sack you but protest against a genocide Britain is facilitating and you're an antisemitic terrorist *utter dogshit
