I recognize that, once you're multiple seasons into a show, such things will occasionally happen. But I really dislike it when the main characters survive something due to sheer coincidence. Also, almost twenty minutes of an info dump conversation in a forty-minute episode is not great writing. 😝

The reason I've gone more left in recent years is that I previously accepted that we simply couldn't afford decent cheap housing, heavily subsidised transport, a universal basic income, etc. Then in 20 years in politics I saw what we actually could afford. And it's a lot. It's just never for you.

It's very telling how every word a Black or Muslim or Brown candidate like Darializa Avila Chevalier or Abdul El-Sayed or Zohran Mamdani or Cori Bush says is scrutinized, turned around, overanalyzed, and endlessly debated by the same people who see Elon Musk *literally sieg heil* and shrug.
For my fantasy readers (and writers and editors)... Assuming an original work (so, not a tie-in to a property that has these details already established)... And assuming the story can be told effectively either way, so the plot and setting don't innately lean one way or the other...
I don't know who decided that the version of the Joker in Batman: Caped Crusader should kind of be a nightmarish variant of Werner Herzog, but I want to kiss them on the mouth. I *loved* that take. And I will be very upset if this show doesn't get a third season.
No matter how much you knew a certain creative project/wish was a pipe dream that would never happen, it still sucks to see it *confirmed* that it will never happen.
For a whole mess of reasons, this would be a really good day for major positive movement on one/some/any of the various irons I have in various fires. There are so many people struggling far worse than I am right now, I know. But I would still like to be struggling less, and this would help. A lot.
