For this Sailor Jupiter drawing, I'm using AK Interactive’s Playmarkers for white color. This water-based acrylic marker is actually intended for painting and adding color to miniatures, but it proves very useful for me, since I usually draw with oil-based ballpoint pens and alcohol-based markers.

The firestorm of age-verification laws have done almost nothing to prevent minors from accessing porn online. What they have done is give the state a powerful tool to harass speech they don't like by declaring it pornographic or "harmful to minors."

there's clearly no point in scolding most people for their indifference to anti-trans bigotry. the refusal to leave Harry Potter behind, the hemming and hawing about the NYT's puzzles. people won't even put down their toys for us. I cannot express the white-hot frustration boiling in my stomach.

at the moment as a trans person there is nothing more you can do than exist and try to do what good you can in the ways you can. people will be trying to hurt you no matter what you do, you just have to be unlucky enough to be seen or found by them. (that fear itself has consequences long term, but-

they’ve been calling us a terror movement for years. the media rushes to tell people that every mass shooter is trans before the bodies hit the floor. for half a decade now, we’ve been damned whether we do or don’t. respectfully, this moment is no different from what we’ve long been living through.

This is the end result of "there are no sfw kinks" logic. Everything is a kink for someone. It doesn't matter how tame or innocuous it is; someone, somewhere, gets off to it. Amd there is no level of "toning it down" that will ever be acceptable to people whose goal is for you to not exist at all.

and I know this all sounds so harsh but I am very distant with half of my family tree as an adult directly because Mormonism applied to every part of their lives. Ironically, I was spared bc they pushed my mother out of the church, but that's the only way she got out of her absurdly shit childhood.

All that to say, I don't think individual Mormon people are evil, but they are usually in a very bad place if they are decent people otherwise. Usually have accepted various forms of abuse directly as parts of their family lives, I have never encountered a truly healthy/normal Mormon family dynamic,

on mormonism: I have family members from the church. I genuinely consider it a cult (even when acknowledging that other modern religious institutions & particularly branches of Christianity are also morally corrupt in various ways, ie Catholicism), there is no other way to interpret the tactics-

it really cannot be overstated that every active mormon is a danger to you, your family, and your friends. they give money to an increasingly reactionary cult and arm of the john birch society, that actively spends money and brings labor power to take away your rights and murder you
