It’s amazing how a white guy can say that he thinks Black people are inferior and allowing it is academic freedom But it’s totally unacceptable to say that the law isn’t value neutral (critical race theory).

There’s a petition signed by more than one hundred academics (& counting!) in support of Nathan Cofnas—the racist who instigated the pile on that led to J. Arday’s death—because he lost his postdoc. Apparently there’s nothing a white man can do that deserves consequences.

Why can we speak with such clarity and conviction when talking about ICE in schools, but not when talking about cops in schools? The harm done by cops in schools is objectively, measurably, 3 orders of magnitude more extreme. Black kids have asked repeatedly for cops to be taken out of schools.

Someone actually did a study a while back that showed the most effective way to get women out of TERF groups wasn’t people trying to change their minds, it was them getting literally any benign hobby, like learning other languages or taking up needlework
