I've had an awful time recently. My partner of 12 years left me just before the start of July. My health is fluctuating, my income is nowhere near enough. PIP is now going to appeal. I'm so busy working on my MSc project that I can't do anything else. Anything at all will really help 🥺

Quite rare to get a behind-the-curtain look at this kind of thing (hint: it involves banks) explained directly by the CEO of the VN developer themselves. Like a lot of these situations, it's not really a "good guy vs. bad guy" deal; it boils down to rules and funding sources.

It's before midnight it's still #bunnyday! I have finished with my initial TR6 Woundwort. I *might* see about the Hazel II parts, but given that it can barely hold the CSB, some deeper thought is needed for the mounts. Anyway, I did the thing and actually got it done. I couldn't be more pleased~

no but modern streaming wouldn't have introduced me to late-night Lupin when I'd get home after work at 2 AM with chicken nuggets because nothing else was open and I wasn't allowed to cook after the family went to bed, that's not how my exploration worked at the time shows are better but TV is worse

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

It's amazing what has been memory-holed in only six years. Sweden ran a natural experiment where they refused to do any mitigation to COVID-19 for almost a year. They had 10x worse outcomes than their neighbors

This is what I mean when I talk about the Fantasy of the Optional Pandemic, where the virus was erased from the equation and mitigation measures were always portrayed as an avoidable choice. Headlines about what actually happened are never even acknowledged.
