Said this before, will again. Badenoch is the most dangerous figure in British politics. She's not as extreme as Farage or Lowe, but her impact is more pernicious. She actively prevents the British centre-right from adopting moderate positions, and thereby facilitates the radicalisation process.

This argument - "if you, a rich person, think taxes should be higher why don't you just donate your money to the government?" Is, if made seriously, economically illiterate and actively damaging to sensible public debate.

Nigel Farage's approval ratings have now sunk even lower than Keir Starmer's before he resigned, yet we're still being encouraged to believe he has some kind of magic connection with the British public
Universities and students are not enclosed units, ivory towers separate from the rest of their local communities. They eat and drink (a lot) including spending lots of money in local pubs and restaurants. They shop. They get buses, taxis and Ubers. They put money into local economies.
Levison 2 might be a good announcement Mr Burnham.
The one thing I can't posdibly do is mention that small boat crossings are down by 44% this year, because scare mongering about this is the central pillar of my whole grift.
