What has to happen before the world hits a tipping point? Epstein files? Hospitals bombed in Gaza? War crimes in Lebanon? Illegal Iran war? Children suffering in ways we shouldn’t be able to imagine? Ben Gvir celebrating being able to hang people? Wish I was going mad & this wasn’t reality.

Indeed. It's also bleakly funny seeing people go 'this is harmful for teenagers' (a sentiment with a fairly limited evidence base) who have obviously cooked their brains online to the point that they cannot grasp the really simple 'we should probably ban the problematic parts of this for everyone'.

European weakness on full display by these horribly contorted responses from Merz, Macron and Starmer - neither condoning nor condemning US actions in Venezuela Such weakness only risks making the Europeans more vulnerable (ie Greenland)

Richard Tice during an interview "Keir Starmer literally used the words: take up arms and go for the enemy" What a lemon Firstly (& most importantly) he DID NOT say that. Secondly you can’t wang on about language you don’t like AND parade Lucy Connolly like a mascot. Make your mind up.

Angela Rayner accidentally pays less tax than she should have, resigns, and the media gives her hell. Nigel Farage deliberately pays less tax than he should have, and the media gives him a free pass. That, right there, is the problem.

Terrific thread by Jonathan this. Since I was born, the area I grew up in has higher employment, has got older, has got healthier, became more likely to be in the private rented sector, got less religious, got less white. There is no non-bigoted reason to think the last of those is problematic.

..I have lived 55 years in LA where "white British" fell from ?85-90% to 40%. Over same time: - population shrank by a 1/4, grew by a 1/3 - became much richer but much more unequal - got older, less Christian, more atheist - *massive* shift in industry/occupations. ..you get the idea [3/4]

Reminder: Atari didn't collapse in 1983-84 because their games were bad. It was because they had such unrealistic projections that even their top-selling titles were considered flops Atari executives peddled the "people hated the games" story to deflect blame for their mismanagement

If as a politician you are complaining about Pride banning political parties I would strongly suggest you look within yourselves as to why this decision has had to be made, the rampant, and unrepentant, attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community for starters, before criticising those who have made it.

But populists can't be the only ones telling compelling stories. There has to be a progressive narrative too, but you can't build credibility overnight. Years of cravenness and timidity take their toll. A plague on all their houses. ENDS
