Natürlich ist auf #Cres #Kroatien tolles Wetter. Die Natur hier einzigartig. Allerdings wird die anstehende Hitze nicht ohne sein. Und Trockenheit ist deutlich spürbar, schon auf dem Weg durch Slowenien war die Natur dort weniger grün als sonst.

Early this week, extraordinary SST anomalies up to +8°C in the western Mediterranean made headlines. Strong, persistent Mistral and Tramontane winds have since cooled surface waters markedly. With the next heatwave, SSTs will rise again, but the highest values should remain over the Tyrrhenian Sea.
