In the culture wars, I want to be the bit on Christmas Day where they all knocked it on the head for a bit and played football.

You can/should read Emily Wilson's latest take on the Odyssey, but I'm logging on to convey my hairdresser's reaction. She was AGHAST that Nolan, with his million $ budget, gave Matt Damon ONLY 6 hair extensions. As a result, his hair did not blow around properly, & that ruined the film for her.

Alex Jones, who has not paid a single cent to the Sandy Hook families despite owing them $1.4 billion, has been in a $3,000 per night suite in Hawaii for the last few weeks illegally using the InfoWars accounts to boost his traffic. Today he said there's going to be a national draft in three weeks.

Just loving how John Cleese, now reduced to one of his own caricatures, rages about immigrants coming to the UK and failing to accept "our" culture, from his home in ... (checks notes) ... Nevis in the Caribbean.

Monty Python star backs the Restore Britain founder in a series of social media posts

I went to the same school as Bill Oddie (KES in Birmingham) and there were legends that he'd once arrived at school on horseback and also had put up diversion signs which meant all the traffic along the main Bristol Road had to pass through the school grounds but I don't know if either is true.

Nigel Farage's approval ratings have now sunk even lower than Keir Starmer's before he resigned, yet we're still being encouraged to believe he has some kind of magic connection with the British public

Andy Burnham - I wish you the absolute best of British luck. I hope you have a plan, I hope you know how to make it work, I hope people help you, & I hope it makes this country feel, well, hopeful again. We MUST have passed Peak Despair now. The future SHOULD feel exciting, and different. God speed

Expected to see Andy Burnham turn up at Buckingham Palace in a ten-year-old Ford Galaxy, giving two teenage kids a lift, and also drop off a Vaxx Wet-and-Clean hoover for a mate who's doing their stairs.
