When I taught high school in Korea, I got in trouble for explaining BLM and refusing to teach US History from a textbook that excused slavery Now I am reading a published essay one of my students wrote about Frederick Douglass' struggle against the evils of slavery :)
We need more Black therapists that have fully processed their internalized antiblackness, actually value community/communal belonging, and have practices informed by liberation psychology.
