Thinking about the intersection of the motto “every second counts” between two of my recent obsessions: the streaming series The Bear and the video game Megabonk. The brain works in mysterious ways.

Get my book from a library! I was broke for decades. For more than half of my life, nearly all of my access to literature was thanks to having a library card. Feel no more shame in using yours than you would heap upon me. Libraries kick ass.

I have a soft spot for incremental clicker games. Meaningless Random Numbers takes an intrinsically repetitive genre and slaps it with a ton of style. Think Balatro meets a low-budget horror movie, and you've got the right idea. Free demo is up on Steam now: store.steampowered.com/app/4211060/...

Magdalene Visaggio was once in seminary, training to become a Catholic priest. Now she's a snarky online trans girl like the rest of us. In a challenging new essay for Assigned, she writes about the toll being hated for who she is has taken on her psyche. assignedmedia.org/breaking-new...

So you're telling me that the "pro-life" party will allow Lindsay Graham to die, but that Mitch McConnell must remain in Schrödinger's box until it is politically expedient for him to expire?
