Over the summer while I was away, these 10 Commandments posters were placed in all our campus classrooms, as mandated by recent state law. However, the ones in our building have now mysteriously disappeared. A protest?

A poster with the heading "Religion's Role in American Public Education" and the 10 Commandments. Plus pictures of Noah Webster and William McGuffey. Plus a box with the history of the 10 Cs in US public education.

Last week the posy I brought home from the garden had a chrysalis attached though I didn't notice till I got home. If you, like me, haven't watched a butterfly emerge you won't be prepared for how amazing or how long emergence takes #TinyJoys a 🧵

Target practice! Book from the library of Montefiascone seminary (Lazio, Italy) which has been fired at apparently by Napoleonic troops. It’s interesting how they couldn’t hit the armorial!

Calf binding with bullet holes, with a gilt cardinal’s armorial at centre, unhit!
