A little Wing Wednesday with #littlecaroftheday 1129, the infamous R34 GT-R. While not my personal favorite, the 34 represents the last of the “original” GT-Rs imo, as it was still part of the the Skyline family before it diverged from here until the R35 reestablished the GT-R as it’s own model.

This sporty compact coupe is a far cry from the name plate’s current form factor but they both feel like cars designed for the moment, with each aiming to combine compact and thrifty with either muscle or utility.
Got to have a go in an Elantra N today. It’s kind of an odd thing as it’s a little cheap in some ways but feels like it’s hitting way above its weight class in others. Plus it makes a good noise.

This one has some camber as the wheels have worn out a bit around the axles, and if you look closely, some OG sandbox sand from the heavy playing days is still stuck in some crevices.
Scheduled with a shop to have them look at the electrical issues on the Audi. With any luck it might be on the road again before the end of the year.

For a few years a house down the road from my childhood home had a Civic much like this in base model form but the exact same color. Compared to the current Civic palette, we really have to pour one out for the colors we lost along the way
