Reform’s electoral record at parliamentary by-elections: win by five votes when the previous Labour MP had literally decked one of his constituents. Lose. Lose. Lose. Lose. Lose. Beat a novelty candidate with no ground game while doing worse than the Tories in the same seat in 2019.
The rule of criminals for the benefit of criminals. It is truly insane that around a third of the people in the US still support this mafia regime. The right-wing media brainwashing machine is incredibly effective.

Not to be some wild-eyed innocent, but I think it should be slightly bigger news that The Lancet have crunched the numbers and found that Musk's USAID cuts will kill 14 million people. And that's just by 2030. That's 9,600 people a day, every day, until the next world cup rolls around.
New estimate of Elon Musk’s death toll just dropped www.thelancet.com/journals/lan...
I came first in the Clacton by-election! Of the candidates who bothered to turn up for the results. Here is my victory speech!
Shit, do you really think the guy who lies about everything would just go and lie about that?
Astonishing. The Press Association understands Essex Police did not tell Nigel Farage, or any other Clacton candidate, not to attend the count. This is after after his and Reform UK's claim Essex Police advised him against it due to a "credible threat".
Leaked Reform UK training videos seen by Byline Times reveal that Nigel Farage’s party activists are being told to avoid drinking and tweeting because its own members are “the biggest threat to Reform” My latest for @bylinetimes.bsky.social: bylinetimes.com/2026/08/11/r...

I think the thing about executive pay is that you do have to baseline it, so for context Thames Water's base pay for the CEO and CFO are about 25% higher than what Games Workshop pays in base pay to its executive team who have successfully tripled the revenue of the company and got it in the FTSE100
The same company that's struggling with a mountain of debt.
The frightening logic of Blue Labour: Glasman, Rutherford, McSweeney, Mahmood,Cowley, Collier all praise the 'Danish' model and end up in bed with Meloni. European values from the French revolution onwards are liberty, equality and solidarity. 'Faith, flag and family' is a Mussolini slogan.
There has been a converted attempt here (including by the current Home Sec) to promote the "Danish model" of anti-immigrant policy as being somehow consistent with social democratic/progressive values. So we should welcome this mask-off moment from the Danish PM.

Your regular reminder that there is an elections bill before parliament that is currently pretty thin but which could actually legislate to stop this happening in the U.K…..
What a bonkers statistic as.ft.com/r/3b0a9bd3-a...
Hahahaha. Farage now whining that he was badly advised by his overpaid team into calling his stupid by-election. Confirming then that he’s incapable of working it out for himself. Too busy counting his money. Honest to god, Clacton. Don’t be the constituency dunces he needs you to be. (Times)
Missing jigsaw piece: the (former) Nazi now runs a popular satirical website where Badenoch is treated as some sort of cross between Boudicca & Margaret Thatcher while Labour & even Reform are constantly mocked. So this whole sorry mess is just another symptom of her being terminally online.
Another glorious vindication of Kemi Badenoch’s impeccable political judgment. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Don't look now, but the world has now installed 3TW of solar. Took 10 years to get from 100GW to 1TW. Less than 3 years to get to 2TW. Less than 2 years to get to 3TW. Analysts expect *9TW* by 2036.
The World Crossed a Major Solar Milestone. No One Noticed
The next phase of the boom may reveal a shift in who is gaining access to the technology.

The BBC treats climate change as a political subject, which it is not. This gives them the excuse of "both sidesing" an overwhelming scientific consensus and outright lying. It is a propaganda machine downplaying a deadly emergency and questions need to be asked at the highest level as to why.
I was not informed by the BBC that they would have a right wing political figure or lobbyist on after me to rebut what I said. The individual in question went on to spout lies about China, etc. to distract attention from the Trump administration's assault on climate action. This is unacceptable.
If future historians exist (& that’s a pretty precarious IF) they’ll write endlessly about the psychological conditioning that left BILLIONS of people feeling ‘powerless’ when a handful of elite psychopaths decided to trade a liveable planet for a bit more meaningless wealth.
