Tuesday looks like a significant severe weather day for parts of New England. Severe storms over Ontario/Quebec will cross the border during the afternoon and evening hours. Widespread damaging winds are expected. Some storms may be capable of very large hail (golf ball size) and a few tornadoes.

Yeah sure the SPC has a bunch of experts with decades of experience, but they haven't seen the sounding I just pulled off the HRRR by clicking in the center of the bright purple of the sigtor parameter so I'm pretty sure my understanding of the situation is well beyond theirs.
I fear some of you are still not quite understanding that the purpose of DOGE is not actually to make the federal government more efficient, it's to privatize what they can make money off of and then dismantle the rest.

Just picked up some Oreos from the store, and I noticed that they accidentally misspelled "stuff" on the front of the package. Can't believe they didn't catch this error before selling it in stores. What an absolute joke.
Question for meteorologists: what textbooks would you recommend for a hobbyist who wants to have some deeper understanding of meteorology? I'm interested in severe weather, tropical weather, and winter weather / Nor'Easters. I love math and don't mind getting deep in the weeds.
