When tech neglects the ability to bring people into a physical place, it turns every artist account into an individual look-at-me promotional game small artists can never win. Insta is a horrible example of an anti-event platform. But early days Facebook was actually very good for that.

The "zero shadow" phenomenon is only true for perfectly vertical straight-sided objects, but it's trippy to look at. The State Museum of Natural and Cultural History of Hawai'i ran a contest to come up with a name & landed on 'Lāhainā' which means "cruel sun" in Hawai'ian.

From a physic forum, some hi-vis yellow pedestrian bollards in a parking lot cast no shadow. on the yellow hi-vis non-skid strip outside a grocery store. In the background is a hauler truck and an SUV.
