Mark Carney speaks of extreme weather events and wildfires caused by climate change, but Mr. “Value(s)” and former UN Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance - now Mr. Fossil Fuel and Pipeline Pusher- can’t even make himself mention the climate crisis by name.

This has been a huge, and at times overwhelming, disappointment by our current government. Given his past, I never expected @mark-carney.bsky.social to turn his back on the environment like he has. We MUST do better.

i never worry about my child being "left behind" because they might need to learn a new tech when they enter the job market. i do worry about children who have already been "left behind" because they can't access clean water, social supports, healthcare, and education.
AI will achieve none of those goals. Let it drop already. We're wasting far too much time and money on this slop, only to enrich more billionaires.

Don't forget, there's no such thing as "austerity." When governments decide to underfund social programs, it's theft. And, governments don't stop spending. There's always money when there's political will.
I'm Canadian and I don't want this. I want the feds to focus on climate and protecting the environment, not wrecking it.
