One thing that makes this administration particularly dangerous is that it is filled with people who, like the president himself, have committed very many obvious crimes in the last 18 months and who know that the only way to stay out of prison is to stay in power.

For month-to-month movements, the payrolls survey is overwhelmingly more informative than the household survey. But when the two diverge over longer periods, there's more reason to worry that the household survey is telling us something.
That's a big kick in the guts. Payrolls is much weaker, and the U.S. lost -23k jobs in March, well below expectations of +80k. Huge downward revisions, too: May now +63k (instead of +129k), June now +20k (down from +53k). Very bad news. Revise down your views substantially.
