I want to add some old check-ins from another platform to @beaconbits.app. Any idea how to add check-ins/beacons with a date in the past?

Atmosphere gang: is there already a space where I can check in into locations or save locations based on #atproto?
I have @germnetwork.com installed since a couple of months, but didn't have a single chat over it. Anybody here using it, please start a chat with me, so I can test a bit. And always nice to meet new people ;-) Link is in my profile.
Extremely honoured to have played a small role in this comic's inception. @rosemarymosco.com does such a fantastic job of making us feel what we too often miss.
Heat waves. Thanks to @climateadam.bsky.social's most recent video, which helped inform this comic and gave me the kick I needed to make it.

Do you remember "proportional" for twitter? A tool it analyses and diversify your feed. Any interest on that for #ATproto?
It is so very, very hard to dig very, very deep.

@mu.social Is it possible to support you to create a region for "Denmark"? I can provide a couple of accounts. Or is there a open-source process, so I can create it on my own and send you an MR?
@niklasjordan.com has brought *risk & haz* over to Offprint. A geologist working on safer communities, writing on floods, natural hazards, and what Earth observation mean for the people in their path. Good to have them shaking things up 🫨 🛋️ Read their first article → offprint.link/risk-and-haz

After two sleepless nights and countless showers, the heatwave has finally passed, at least in Brussels. Europe has always had hot summers, but rarely this hot.
3 Millionen Datenpunkte untersucht. 2.500 Belege gefunden. 13 Monate geprüft. 1 Ergebnis. Die AfD ist verfassungswidrig. Ein zulässiger Verbotsantrag beim Bundesverfassungsgericht hätte wahrscheinlich Erfolg. Das ist das Ergebnis unseres heute veröffentlichten Gutachtens. 🧵

For older people, children, and those with pre-existing health conditions in particular, walking long distances in direct sunlight on a #summer day poses a health risk, making shady paths a precious commodity. Could this #app by @heigit.org help? 👇
Shady Routes in Times of Climate Crisis: How a Routing App Protects Against Heat Stress
In Heidelberg and Worms, the shaded.ors app is already helping people navigate the shade. However, HeiGIT’s routing application can also be adapted for use in other cities – and has the potential to become an important tool for climate adaptation.

Is it possible to migrate publications between @leaflet.pub, @offprint.app and @pckt.blog? I mean, moving articles AND subscribers from one to the other service?
This heatwave in Europe is insane. Over 10 days of beyond tropical nights (above 20C). No one here is prepared for this. Also, weather companies should by default publish pre 1990 averages alongside the forecast. Honestly, failure to do so is yet another kind of climate denial.
Ey #geoscience and #earthscience people! Thinking about starting a go’ old webring about geoscientist/earthscientists blogging on atproto. There should be more then just me blogging on @leaflet.pub @offprint.app or @pckt.blog, no? Wave pls 👋
New: Publication PAGES & NAV 🎨📝✨ Go beyond blogs with pages galore…Leaflet's now great for simple websites! - customize your homepage - add an 'About' page - external links e.g. to your podcast :) - new blocks: post list & subscribe form Try it: pub dash ➡️ "Customize" (theme's now there too!)
"Why didn’t you move to @eurosky.social instead?" Very good question @elenarossini.com 🤔
SCOOP: In early June the European Commission unveiled its Tech Sovereignty Plan, which emphasized their commitment to #OpenSource. Just recently, they migrated their main ATproto accounts to #WSocial, a for-profit network that has quietly gone closed-source. blog.elenarossini.com/w-social-pub...
🌊 Europe's flood data is good enough. The maps exist. The models work. And yet, floods still surprise people they shouldn't surprise. The problem isn't accuracy. It's the last mile. #greysky #emergencymanagement #riskcomm #floodrisk #floods
