When we hate on these disgusting immoral evil billionaires it’s bc just look at everything Dolly did. They could be doing that. They could just be helping people and every day they choose not to help people. They choose to harm. And when they die, we’ll dance and laugh and be thankful they’re gone.

I have been beating this drum for literal decades at this point, long before AI. Treating education as transactional, rather than as a good in its own right and as preparation to live as a human in a free society, is the root of so many of the goddamn evils we are currently suffering.

And part of that problem is they're approaching homework as a "I am returning a sheet of paper to you with answers" instead of applying skills and knowledge to ACTUALLY LEARN. Which is tied to treating education like a widget factory for grades.

Absolutely unbelievable how solar power has taken off worldwide during the Hormuz oil crisis. You don't have to hand it to him, but Trump may have done more to finally kick off a global civilization of effete librul solar users than anyone else in the West

Chart showing solar panel exports from China (the main solar panel maker by a long shot) growing steadily & mightily from 2018 through 2026, then spiking by almost 2x in March 2026.

So why isn't Fox news televising interviews of all the happy people who live near data centers so we can hear what a treat it is to live with the constant noise, lights, increased utility costs and non-existent new jobs?

BIG DEAL on voting rights this morning: Governor Spanberger just restored the voting rights of some 60,000+ Virginians. Her move reverses Youngkin's abrupt decision in 2023 to end automatic voting rights restoration, which brought Virginia back to a system of default lifetime disenfranchisement.

Virginia Governor Restores Voting Rights for Thousands With Past Felony Convictions - Bolts

This is the only state that was banning people convicted of any felony from voting for life. Virginians have an opportunity to end that system for good in November.

something i've been thinking about lately is how we're told some professions pay less as a function of supply and demand or just the natural way of things. but social work, child care, education aren't low-demand. they're feminized.

Mamdani got into office and instantly: • Froze rent for 2 million New Yorkers • Cut subway fares in half for low-income riders • Fully funded NYC parks • Added $680M for public schools • Launched free child care for 2-year-olds If establishment politicians actually wanted to help you, they could.
