Someone spent TWENTY EUROS, TWENTY FUCKING EUROS, to make sure their literal dog was dressed and ready for the start of Stage 3 yesterday. GIVE US THE COMPLETE COVERAGE, YOU BASTARDS.

A very hot brown and white dog, wearing a white and red polka dot t-shirt, lying on the pavement by their owner’s feet at the start of the Tour de France Femmes in Geneva.

With ZERO respect to ASO, why in the fuck is the coverage of the #TourDeFranceFemmes time trial not starting until nearly an hour into the actual race? I’m in Geneva where it looked like everyone and their literal dog had turned out to #WatchTheFemmes, PEOPLE WATCH WOMEN’S SPORTS.

I am BEGGING the BBC to stop calling them “anti-immigration” protesters, they’re racists. If they’re shouting racist abuse, and attacking people of colour, they’re racist. Call them what they are. Racists, stirred up by right-wing politicians and media. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Short-sighted, stupid cuts to the UKRI budget include shutting down Jodrell Bank, the icon of British astronomy. (Many other cuts too, including 20% to our brand new @vrubinobs.bsky.social). Interesting politically to shut down a major facility in...um..Manchester 🔭 www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Jodrell Bank's Lovell telescope faces axe in science cuts, BBC understands

Astronomers warn it would tear the heart out of UK science, and leave a generation untrained.

Given the effects of yesterday’s travel, the amount of mental effort it took to build the Zeiss Model II can only be described as Herculean, but are you kidding me with how cute these dinky starballs are?! L-R Konica-Minolta Infinium Σ, Zeiss Cosmorama, and a Zeiss Model II.

Three tiny planetarium starball projector models on a wooden table. L-R A round, black Konica-Minolta Infinium Σ, a LEGO Zeiss Cosmorama, and a Zeiss Model II.

Yesterday involved two midnights, 22 hours of travel, 16 hours on planes, an empty middle seat, a crossing of the international date line, and a jaunt over Iceland. Japan was properly incredible, but it is also very nice to be home.

A big sign at Glasgow airport from the Tennent’s brewery. Against a blue sky, clouds form the word “oooof”, and a big pint of Tennent’s with the red T branding finishes the “oooft”A view from a plane window of the sun peeping over the clouds on the horizon A photo of the route map on a plane entertainment screen showing a plane crossing the Pacific and heading for Alaska.

Keir Starmer is a bad person who used his power to make the United Kingdom a more unequal place and dismantle the possibility of opposing oppression and genocide, and to drive trans people from public life. If you think he is decent, I have news for you about your own moral judgement.

Britain loves a good ban as a protective means: -ban teens from socials to protect teens -ban gender affirming healthcare for teens to protect the teens -ban anti-war protests to prevent violence -ban trans women from bathrooms to “protect women” -ban foreign journalists from 🇬🇧 for “public good”

Pocket friends! I have a very long flight to Japan, and a long-ish Shinkansen ride after that, ahead of me next weekend. Please, give me your SFP (Safe For Plane) film and TV show recommendations to make the 18.5 hours fly by!

Glasgow pals anyone going to the SUTR thing tomorrow fascists have put a call out to be there at the same time/place. And be warned with SWP led action they have a tendency to fuck off after speeches and leave everyone behind with fascists. Travel in groups.

Poster from SWP reclaim our streets eventually with a time of 1pm and date of Saturday 23th June on the Buchanan steps A terrible slop ain't poster made by a fascist group for a "protest" at the same time and place. 24th June 1pm Buchanan steps

Over 17 hours after racist disorder in Glasgow - with masked men marching around seemingly targeting random black men and scrapping with police - Police Scotland have not put out a statement. Neither have Glasgow City Council This isn't good enough
