I spent most of my childhood with constant colds. Since coughing was strictly forbidden at night by my mother because it would wake her up and incur her (usually violent) wrath, I survived those years only with Luden’s licorice cough drops.

CW: sick pet I’ve got a skin & bones cat in end-stage kidney disease who has suddenly started stumbling & dragging a back leg & was incontinent today for the 1st time. We go to the vet tom afternoon. I have limited funds (his brother just cost me $1k 2wks ago). He’s 15. I don’t know what to do.

The United States and Canada have been friends, partners, and allies for more than 150 years across 32 presidential administrations. And now, solely because of the arrogance, incompetence, and ego of the current occupant of the White House, that relationship is being driven straight toward a cliff.
Ballistics are flying almost nonstop lately. There were ballistic missiles tonight. I woke up and couldn’t sleep anymore. And now - in the middle of the day - They’re flying toward Kyiv and the region again. I’m sitting in our hallway. That’s all we can do.
