They call me Himothy

Remember when I said I wouldn't buy anything and I would be contempt with what I have? "Oh my god, Peter!" That's right! I got a switch 2!

I love how I’m still learning new things about something I’m really passionate about. I didn’t realize it until now; the notes in the bass clef go up the staff alphabetically.

Ah, there’s nothing like waking up at a quarter to two in the morning from a nightmare that’s been caused by a head injury months ago and drinking enough caffeine to tranquillize a horse (I may have had three cups of coffee plus a thermas queued up for later and it’s 6:52am)

You know, maybe watching something scary whilst running off of a couple hours of sleep when it just so happens to be dark and rainy outside really isn’t the best thing to do

Poppy wrote a blog about her new paper showing that vaccination in the first half of the menstrual cycle is associated with higher likelihood of reporting side effects, possibly because of a stronger immune response to the vaccine press.lshtm.ac.uk/blog-18

Does it matter which day of your #menstrualcycle you get #vaccinated? 💉 My first PhD paper, just published in #npj Women's Health, suggests it might. 🧵

Maturing is realizing you don’t need the best of the best. It doesn’t help that companies push new things down our throats as if the thing we had previously is now useless.. *cough* Apple *cough*

#booksky I feel like I’m going to get a lot of hate for this: I rated Dungeon Crawler Carl 3.75/5 I found Part 2 to be quite weak in prose, at least compared to Part 1. The banter between Carl and Donut felt forced as I progressed through the book.

I truly feel bad for people affected by the heat waves in European countries. It’s been getting hot here, ~25° to 30°C. Even with AC, it’s unbearable and I’m down for the count.

Learn to slow down and enjoy the beautiful moments life has to offer; we all chase goals and the gratification, but slow down. At the end of the day, we’re all going to end up in the same place: 6 feet under, so why spend your life chasing when you could enjoy life’s beautiful moments

Yesterday I had an interview, was hired on the spot with barely any talk, only to get a text message saying they weren’t actually hiring anyone. Today, I had an interview, and it went by over an hour. He hired me on the spot too, but I feel confident.

God, I’m such a monster. My nanny died in my Sim’s game, he was struck by a meteorite and blew up. This all would have been avoided if I had just ignored his cry to hang out. He would still be living!

I finished The Wisdom of Morrie It was very enlightening to hear his thoughts on ageing, and also his expertise on how to become a better person; to deal with grief; or how to be a better human. And the best thing is, he gives examples to everything. It’s a good book.

I have a tech question. When setting your sensitivity in a game like Valorant or CS2, where do I put my mouse on my mousepad if I want to do a 180°? In the centre of the mousepad, then go from centre to right and left, or from the far left side to the far right side for a 180?

tfw you think you’re doing fine, just fine, and then you realize you’ve been sitting in your parked car staring off into space for ten minutes

Without annotating, how does one remember the stuff you read? Either fiction or non-fiction. I swear, I had just finished reading for a half hour a book about ageing (Wisdom of Morrie) and I can't remember anything about it. Same with Fantasy novels if I read those.

I really want to make my experience reading an e-reader like reading an actual book but I don't know how to do that with the given options.

Does anyone have any tips and tricks on how to customize my Kobo Libra 2 better? Like with font size, margins, font spacing and what font you use?

One thing I wanna do more often is read in the mornings. I have my alarm clock set at 5am Monday thru Friday to hopefully force myself to read. Doesn’t work, but hey at least I try
