“The giant goose has not eaten for a very long time, probably about a year, but she isn’t getting any smaller. She’s getting bigger.” This delightful flash reminds me of “The Drowned Giant” from Love, Death, + Robots but with goosey whimsy of the absurd and no drowned giant. 🪿 🍔

“My larval stages were noted as particularly advantageous, but all the enchantment was aslant and lavished upon the itching desire to see the world as it is.” Beautiful and bittersweet. 🐛

I wish Together got the analytical attention Obsession got. Both are extremely relevant, but most people watching Obsession already assume themselves in no way like Bear. Meanwhile, the majority of people in the world are couples/seeking partnership. Many could use the cautionary tale of Together.

It's been almost a month since This Mortal Coil came out and I'm still over the moon about how good it looks with Marie's art. Just a perfect little book about a very tired skeleton and the judgemental sword determined to be their new best friend.

Be patient and kind to those who are making art right now. We're all self-funded and the richest, worst people in the world are trying to plaster over and erase our hard work.

Today’s great performance in a horror film, overlooked outside of horror fans: Clarence Williams III in Tales From The Hood. The epitome of understanding the assignment, and surpassing what was necessary.

A close-up of a dark-skinned man centered in the frame, facing forward with wide eyes and a serious, alert expression. He has a large, rounded afro and wears a dark coat with a high collar, a patterned scarf, a green cravat, and a white shirt. A small silver decorative object is attached near his right shoulder. Behind him, vivid turquoise-green shapes and foliage-like patterns contrast with the mostly black background. A partial, shadowed figure is visible along the left edge.

I think the loss of privacy for adults is the actual intention; they want all our movements linked to our state ID like most moral panics “the kids!” is a bad faith smokescreen for the encroachment the fascists desire

A poorly understood problem with age bans for social media is that all the adults give up the privacy (since that's what it means to verify your age) and the kids will still be social on the Internet, because, well, they're kids and it's the Internet.

I was promised robots that would tackle the dangerous and physically demanding work so that humans could be freed up to make MORE art. Where the hell is THAT future
