The one thing I have taken away from AI is the appreciation of the imperfections in human art. Wabi sabi is where it’s at. Give me books with a typo or two, drawings with visible pencil lines underneath, and fingerprints baked into the clay.

Hard agree. I've found that I can't force myself to work on something and that more often than not, me being attracted to a new shiny idea is a sign I've hit a wall and need to pivot for a little bit!

unpopular writing advice but sometimes you need to let your brain be tempted by the shiny new idea. sometimes that shiny new idea serves to distract your brain so it can work, without you messing it up, to figure out whatever you’re stuck on in your main project.

it took me way too long to give myself permission to do this but it's often one of the keys to getting unstuck and keeping momentum

Sometimes the shiny new idea ends up being the good one, too (says the person thunderstruck by inspiration at 4 am this morning)

I really agree with this. Also, the brain wants to have fun, entertain it and it will be more excited to write.
