I don’t know if this is true. Especially coming from Rupert. But wouldn’t it be nice if our government served the 99% and not just the 1%? The greedy cannot handle a level playing field.

I was just thinking about how the rent freeze means I’ll have more money to spend eating out at restaurants, going to bars, seeing a movie, and buying things at the small businesses near my apartment. Seems great for the local economy, except for my landlord, who is already worth $10+ million.

The only way to square the mainstream media's decades of handwringing and complaining about how dysfunctional NYC is and this WSJ story about how business elites have historically "called the shots" on how NYC is run is to conclude that business dingbats ruined NYC and this is how you fix it.
