Like a big, dumb Frankenstein, striving to be greater than the sum of his parts.

The Ontario govt took $60M out of public education and handed it to Staples. Tomorrow, 80K elementary teachers each get $750 of the misappropriated money to buy overpriced classroom supplies at an 🇺🇸 corporation. Please remember this the next time Captain Canada tells you to #BuyCanadian. #OntEd

The total for the school board is $290.38.
The total for Staples is $668.98.

To add to this, Chrome now lets you put all your tabs vertically along the edge of the window. So, yes, this is another one of those features I'm going to personally take credit for because my open tabs look more like a To-Do List than ever.

A snip from my Chrome browser showing the new vertical tab display. There are... there are a lot of tabs. This isn't even all of the tabs open in my Personal workspace, let alone my Work workspace. It's too much. I need, like, Pomodoro or GTD or something.

Just realizing that I'm using open browser tabs as my master to-do list, but I have to guess at what I'm supposed to do by inspecting the pages I left running.

Reminder that Carney has cut funding for Natural Resources Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Indigenous and Northern Affairs, and Indigenous Services. And he has rolled back climate protections, abandoned emissions targets, and is building more pipelines.

Carney:

"The wildfire situation has escalated significantly over the last three weeks across the country, and particularly in Northwestern Ontario.

Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate their communities, not knowing if their homes will survive.

On behalf of Canadians, I want to thank the brave firefighters, first responders, Indigenous and local leaders who are working tirelessly to keep people safe.

Our government is in close contact with provincial, municipal, and Indigenous partners and stands ready to provide any additional support as needed."

This painting is still available! Each piece in this fundraiser is priced between $40-$50. A great deal for original art made by humans and it goes to a good cause!
