Talking about football on The Game Is About Glory https://thegameisaboutglory.co.uk/

I wouldn't know. My family couldn't afford foreign holidays 40 years ago and I was in my mid-20s when I first flew. Air travel becoming affordable is a big improvement, putting aside the environmental impact for a minute

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime
question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten *better*?
like, there's *more* stuff, sure, but is any of it *better*?

Sadly, there will be no ‘more’. We are heartbroken at TPTV to hear that we have lost another dear friend of the channel, Jimmy Cricket. A very lovely and funny man who kept audiences in stiches when he appeared on stage at our festivals. A true comedy legend. Thanks for all the laughs Jimmy.

I once sat in a pub beer garden during festival time in Edinburgh, and the time I was there coincided with the audience from a Jimmy Cricket show spilling out and into the pub grounds. I swear, you never saw such a silly, delighted, just downright *happy* bunch of people. Not a bad old epitaph.

I am begging Terminally Online Tottenham Fans to look critically at transfer rumors and actually dig into the original "source" rather than just believing it because the BBC referenced some slop in their Rumor Roundup feed.

Non-Ali Football.London piece: "Tottenham have made an approach for Victor Osimhen" Source: CaughtOffside Deeper source: "sources close to the agents industry told CaughtOffside" Note: not agents, "sources close to the industry." So -- ITK. Welcome to Bat Country.

Only just found out about this For the record, you don't get multiple genetic markers and one of the most effective medications known to science with 'social constructs' Channel 4, this is, in scientific parlance, an absolute fu*king disgrace that will genuinely endanger lives #c4 #ADHD

New Channel 4 documentary, The Great ADHD Myth?, seeks to determine whether ADHD is a genuine neurodevelopmental disorder, or a social construct

I work in disability study support. I hate the effect on students + colleagues that 'just asking questions' has after programmes like this. Families who don't want to believe in ADHD, students stuck waiting on diagnoses, doubters feeling emboldened to say "it's a bandwagon". This prog is DANGEROUS.
