Trump denies reports of U.S. munitions shortages, while saying the “leakers” behind those “treasonous statements” are being “hunted down.”
This is how it's done. Fight it out in the primary, and then link arms to defeat the common enemy in the general. Great demonstration of post-primary leadership from @mallorymcmorrow.bsky.social.
El-Sayed on Vance: Is that Peter Thiel's boy with that Ohio charisma? The last thing that he said that made any sense was Hillbilly Elegy—after he said that Donald Trump had no business being president of anything. And then he decided to suck up to power.
Is it good when the secretary of defense is so fixated on making sure everyone is white and has tv ready abs that he forgets about munitions bsky.app/profile/carl...

Our politics editor @andrewperez.bsky.social: “It's wild how the media is extremely fixated on making Abdul El-Sayed condemn streamer Hasan Piker while America's shadow president is this violently racist Martian”
We’ve depleted our missiles. Trump was unaware. Hegseth thought his deputy told Trump. It’s partly why Trump had to call of his escalation against Iran. Other than that, everything’s fine: wapo.st/4hQVTF0
Trump, Hegseth clashed at Camp David over Iran missile depletion concerns
At a Camp David summit this weekend, President Trump demanded answers from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over extreme munitions shortages.

In May, Trump promised seniors, “Now you have the lowest drug prices anywhere in the world.” Today, his administration is ending the Medicare Part D program that helped keep prescription drug premiums lower for 25 million Americans. Promises made. Promises broken. #RepublicanMedicareCuts
El-Sayed: "If all Mike Rogers got is that 'his name is Abdul, and my name is Mike,' you're gonna be surprised how many people are like, 'Yeah, but that's the Abdul who wants to bring down the price of my groceries and make sure I got healthcare. So yeah, I like Abdul over your Mike from Florida.'"
Trump: Any community that turns down AI is making a big mistake. Your taxes are going to go way down. Your house is going to be more valuable. Data centers, if you look at the stats, everything's good around them.
Michigan Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers reacts to Abdul El-Sayed winning the Democratic primary: “I spent years hunting terrorists and bringing Osama bin Laden to justice. Never in a million years did I think that I would be running against someone who believes America deserved 9/11.”
A gracious concession: “I want to congratulate Abdul El-Sayed on winning the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. He is a doctor, a community health official, a Rhodes Scholar, and a dedicated Michigander. I am proud to offer my support as he takes on Mike Rogers in the general election…

noted this in morning piece. like any winning candidate in a rough primary, AES needs to coalesce Ds behind him. Involves outreach, etc. But one of the best ways to consolidate Democrats is to land punches against Republicans. Not just going on the attack but showing that your punches are landing.
